A record label dedicated to new acoustic music from the left coast. Our mission is to spread the word about some of the best in acoustic-based music that is happening today out west.
Q. B. Williams passed away last week. QB was the percussionist and co-founder of the Wildplum artist Palm Wine Boys. He was a long time fixture on the Bay Area music scene. Among his many musical activities: he wrote music for stage plays, film and radio, was a former music director of Vukani Mawethu Choir, a member of the great world dance band Mud Hut, and taught percussion to young children in Oakland, CA.
I had the honor of working with QB on a number of projects over the last 20 years. He was a wonderful musician, had a great smile and a quick wit, and one of the very nicest, sweetest people I have ever met. I miss his smile, I miss his talent, I miss his spirit; I miss him.
