realaudio is a real time audio transmission/player system. A digital audio stream is transmitted from the web server over the internet to the destination computer and played immediately (rather than being stored to disk first and then played). The quality of the player is similiar to mono AM radio (not great)- of course, Independent Girl , the CD, is of far superior quality. The real audio song files give you an idea of what is on the CD and (hopefully) will give rise to a great desire within you to buy the CD.
